Security

Built for firms that handle other people’s books.

You are the controller for your clients’ data. Entrio is the processor. Access is firm-scoped, sensitive identifiers are encrypted at rest, and nothing is trained into a model you cannot inspect.

Entrio doesn’t replace your accounting software. It replaces the hours before you open it. Carefully, with data you can export or delete.

DescriptionsQueryable

Amounts and descriptions stay readable because a trial balance cannot be computed from ciphertext. We say so rather than implying everything is encrypted.

Firm-scoped tenancy

Every client, statement and journal belongs to one organisation. Staff only see what that firm’s permissions allow. There is no cross-firm client pool.

Sensitive fields encrypted

UTRs, VAT numbers and transaction notes are encrypted at rest. Amounts and descriptions stay queryable for reports — stated honestly on privacy.

No model training

Entrio is not AI. Rules are deterministic. Client data is not used to train a black box, and is not sold or shared with advertisers.

Upload hygiene

Successful imports delete the original file. Entrio keeps the transactions you need for the books, not a permanent archive of every CSV.

Audit without a second copy

Categorisations, rule changes and sign-offs are logged with who and when. Encrypted identifiers are excluded from the log so it never becomes a clear second store of sensitive fields.

Export and exit

CSV and PDF export any time. Client delete and firm-level removal on request. Figures are never held hostage to keep a subscription.

FAQ

Security questions, plain answers.

Who can see my clients?

Only people you invite to your firm. Every client record belongs to one organisation and is scoped to it. There is no shared pool of client data between firms. Within the firm you control roles and permissions.

Is data encrypted?

Sensitive identifiers such as client UTRs, VAT numbers and transaction notes are encrypted at rest in the database. Amounts and descriptions are not field-encrypted because reports and payee search need them — they are protected by access control and storage encryption. The honest split is on the privacy page.

Do you train AI on our data?

No. Entrio has no machine learning model. Categorisation is a deterministic rule engine. There is nothing to train and no reason for client data to leave your firm’s workspace for model improvement.

What happens to uploaded bank files?

After a successful import the uploaded file is deleted. Entrio keeps the transactions, not the CSV. Failed imports keep the file so you can retry without asking the client again.

Can I get data out or deleted?

Yes. Reports export to CSV or PDF at any time. Deleting a client removes their data from your workspace, and you can ask for the firm’s data to be removed entirely.

Where is more detail?

The privacy page covers encryption choices, audit trail exclusions, sub-processor posture and how to contact us about data. This page is the security overview for evaluators; privacy is the operational detail.

Operational detail lives on Privacy & data. If something on either page stops matching the product, that is a bug — tell us.
