Turn a bank statement into a spreadsheet. Checked to the penny.

Drop a PDF, CSV or Excel statement. Every row is re-added against the balances: the ones the bank printed on a PDF, or the running balance in an export. What you download matches the bank, or we tell you it doesn’t add up.

Download as

Converted and discarded in the same request. Nothing from your statement is stored.

Checked, not guessed

Running balances, the closing balance and the statement’s own totals all have to agree, in pence, before a single row is written.

Ready for your software

A clean CSV or Excel sheet, or a file laid out for Xero, QuickBooks or FreeAgent’s bank statement import.

Refused when it should be

Scans, photos and statements that don’t add up are turned away with the reason, never converted on a best guess.

For accountants and bookkeepers

Need it as a trial balance?

Entrio uses the same engine and does the rest of the job: drop statements for every client at once, and each row is filed on your firm’s rules, with transfers and duplicates caught, accounts reconciled and a trial balance that updates as you clear what’s left.

FAQ

About the converter.

Is the converter really free?

Yes. No sign-up, no card, no watermark. It is the same engine Entrio uses to import statements, offered on its own because it is useful on its own.

Which banks does it read?

PDF statements downloaded from online banking for Barclays, Chase, Lloyds, Mettle, Monzo and Revolut, with more added as we get sample statements. CSV and Excel exports from online banking, from most UK banks. Scans and photos can’t be read because they have no text to check.

What does “checked to the penny” mean?

For a PDF, every row is re-added against the running balances and totals printed on the statement. For a CSV or Excel export, every row is re-added against the file’s own running balance. If any figure disagrees, nothing is converted and you’re told why. An export with no balance column has nothing to check against, so it converts and the page tells you it wasn’t checked.

Is my statement stored?

No. The file is read, converted and discarded within the same request. None of it (rows, names, balances or the file name) is saved or logged.

Can I import the result into Xero, QuickBooks or FreeAgent?

Choose that format before converting and the file comes out in the column layout each product’s bank statement import expects, with money in as positive amounts and money out as negative.

Why was my file refused?

Either it is from a bank or layout the converter doesn’t read yet, it is a scan, or its rows didn’t agree with its balances. The page says which. If you use Entrio, upload it there and send it to us from the app if it still won’t read; we usually have it fixed within two working days.
